What do you do if you are up at night and the power goes off?

I find I'm so dependent on electricity. I sit there in the dark, thinking"well, I could...no, requires power...what about, no..can't do that either" I guess when this happens I spend a lot of time inside my brain thinking about everything and nothing. What about you?

Well if I'm up at night and the power goes off, I can try to go to sleep? You can't do anything at night if there is no power! Of course, I think what you can do is look outside your window and gaze upon the stars and think about everything. Maybe retrospect and see what you've accomplished in the past and another way to think about the future.

Last time my power went out, we played flashlight tag in the house. Reading a book by flashlight or candlelight is nice, too. Shadow puppets and dusting are good things to do, too. There is also something called "sleep" that works well also.

I would firstly locate the cause of the power failure and get it fixed. I'd check with my neighbours if they are affected with the blackout. I won't waste my time to carry-on what i'm doing with torches or candle lights. I will standby my rubbermaid truck to transfer ice cubes or things out from my freezer. I won't sleep until the power supply is fixed.

I light some candles and grab some hot chocolate(I have a gas stove) snuggle on the couch and read a good book.
