to show their opinions and to make their voice heard about who they want in office, and how they want the offices ran. It is a freedom and a right that everyone should enjoy and use to the fullest!

This may shock many but in my opinion it is better to not vote if you know nothing about what or who you are voting for. Voting is a precious right and not just something to do because someone elses tells you.
Voting is the only way a country 'of the people, by the people and for the people' can be realized. The system may not always work and we may not be happy with the result but we have expressed ourselves and whoever is elected IS our president, governor, senator and representative.

The Americans should vote now as the most of the countries in America are struggling for democracy and do vote to get rid of corrupted regimes and corrupted voting results.

To let the politicans know there are people out there that can vote them out of office if they screw up // I wished there were more parties to vote for even communism, democrat, indepedent, republican gisve them all a place on the ballot and watch them squirm and scratch their heads and cry like a mouse eating green onions// Maybe have let each party take turns serving 4yr terms just to see whos best and make them keep their word or go to the worst prison in the country, not a country club/// The people should be the ones to elect them for only 4yrs and replace all of them congressmen, sentators, repersentives, supreme court judges, cooks, janitors, maintainence men, no one should be allowed

High voter participation, especially in close elections, shakes up the pimps in Washington. That's an inherently good idea, it's "sound game theory."
If you are getting a government check such as welfare, unemployment, social security or medicare, I believe you SHOULD NOT VOTE because your opinions are compromised as a parasite on the system. But that's just my opinion.

In order to have a functioning democracy, which we purport to have, there must be voting. It is unfortunate that more people vote for their favorite IDOL (i.e., American Idol), then in the last Presidential election...let alone state and local ones!

To express your opinion. And if you don't vote, then you can't complain about anything. I think it's stupid that they don't let young people vote. It's almost like their opinion doesn't even matter.

To express their opinion. Because it's what adults do. Grown-ups are responsible and vote.
