The price of a tummy tuck depends on a lot of things, so I can't give you a specific answer.

It depends on your doctor's fees, the facility fees (since most plastic surgeons do this type of surgery in a hospital, not their office!), how much anesthesia you need (which depends on your weight and how long it will take them to remove your body's excess skin), and what type of "post-surgery" garments / girdles your doctor wants you to wear. My tummy tuck (in Connecticut) cost just under $9000 a couple of weeks ago.

GET CONSULTATIONS FROM AT LEAST TWO DOCTORS. Look at their education, how many surgeries they have done, if they have "before and after" pictures of their own patients, and if you feel comfortable with them.

Also - see if they can help you with financing. My doctor set me up with Capital One's Health Care Financing. Check and see if it is available in California, too!

Good luck....and contact me if you have any questions about the surgery....I can give you more about my experience!

May I suggest to you a mini tummy-tuck. Your scarring will be less severe, and they won't have to completely remove your belly botton and the skin around it! The regular tummy-tuck can make your belly button look distorted, and you will have scars from above the line of your pubic hair and up on your sides. The mini tummy-tuck also costs less!
