Go to Ad-ware and download their spyware remover it does seriously work.
Also a word of advice, don't search over the web for 'Free Virus/Spyware scanning as this will lead to pop-ups saying that they can do this job for u when all they are actually doing are either installing one or saying there is one so you do actually download their program which is also actually a virus/spyware.

I am partial to Trend Micro's Housecall. It scans for both viruses and spyware, while other sites only scan for viruses. In addition, it can remove any malicious files it finds for free. Most sites just scan the hard drive and will charge you for removing the malicious files. You can find Trend Micro's Housecall homepage at: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/. Please be sure to read the license agreement.

If you're geeting some pop-ups asking you to click them to find a way to clean viruses or spyware pls don't do it.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
