Yes, this is for lesson purposes. Which one is easier to handle, fun to learn/play, etc. Please dont consider: I like ____ because its cooler as an opinion. I would love if you shared experiences with either guitar. If you've tried both, even better. Thanks!

Start with acoustic, just because you can practice anywhere without having to drag along an amp too. They play basically the same, so later on when you want to rock out you can get yourself a nice electric, and still practice on the acoustic.

well electrics are generally smaller than normal guitars, such as the acoustic, and they require an amp to be heard. You'd end up spending more for an electric than for an acoustic or classical. Also, when you first start playing, keep in mind that your fingers will probably get very sore, but with practice they'll build callouses and it'll be easier to play for longer periods of time. Me, I would choose the electric, just because it's got that big sound and the volume can be altered

They are both basically the same. If you play acoustic, electric will be a lot easier. I recommend starting on an acoustic guitar. You'll be a lot better off. Stupid kids think electric guitar is cooler, but those kids can't even play anyway. Learn on a decent acoustic, you'll be much happier that you did.

If your a beginner you probably want to go low budget until you know you are going to stick w/ it. If you go electric not only do you need a guitar, but you'll have to pick up an amp too. That's going to be a lot of money spent on an instrument that you don't even know how to play yet. If money isn't a big deal an electric will be a little easier to play. They usually have better action (how close the strings are to the fret board) and lighter strings requiring less pressure to hit your notes. Good luck. I hope you get as many hours of enjoyment out of it as i have.

I don't play guitar. But I enjoy both electric and acoustic.... but if I could play, I'd start with acoustic. It might help you if you listed to a couple of albums of acoustic guitar, and of electric guitar. Then go with whichever one appeals to you the most.

electric acoustic guitars are not "worth it" if you want an accoustic they are fine but they do not offer the same tonal characteristics as a real electric model will. That being said, both.

Electric is easier to make chords, and play generally.
I've owned both and play both. If I had to choose, I'd go electric.

well if your just starting to learn.. then i'd go with an electric guitar. theyr alot easier to hold down on frets. acoustics are slightly harder. but i say you should go with an electric theyr fun to play especially with distortion.
