They are about 300 - 400 yards apart. I live out in the country on a farm The distance between the pc and network is a hayfield with nothing in it to get in the way of signal.

300-400 yards is 3 to 4 times the MAX. limit of standard wireless communication. even with enhanced signal and a larger antenna it probably wouldn't work your only real option would be to run a cable from the modem to a switch or hub 100m then more cable to another switch or hub another 100m then maybe try your luck with a wireless access point 200m from the original signal else your gonna need the new 802.11n technology which isn't out yet I don't think

a WAP has a much better range than a regular wireless router but thats probably pushing it....if you had cable it would be simple enough to buy a second modem and run the cable to the to the place....

If the signal is too weak get a directional antenna
