i have to work with the school age kids tomorrow and they are always so awful because they are bored and there is not much for them to do so i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to do with them for the afternoon

1. How many kids
2. School age could mean 6-18
3. What is the facility like? Can you leave it, take them somewhere?
Here's my advice for any age kid, no matter how many you have, and for any kind of facility. Ask them what they want to do!

you could have a snowball fight with them....divide the kids and give them all waste paper to crumble...then have them throw the paper back and forth at each other...you would be suprised how long this activity will take because they are preparing the "snowballs" then throwing them will keep them busy...after a set amount of time count and see what side has the most snowballs ...most snowballs on their side loses...
if you have any old small appliances that do not work bring them in...kids love taking things apart

sing dance a movie go outside a project etc...... think of thing u use to like to do
