In my personal opinion, you should defi try the following-
1. Exfoliate often- using a gentle scrub- this helps dislodge blackheads
2. If that doesnt work, use a drying mask- for oily/ combination skin. It will tighten the pores & reduce blackheads to some extent.
3. Use Biore nose strips.
4. Go for a professional facial/ blackhead removal- once in 6 months or so.

Make sure you wash your face first. The best way to do it in my opinion is to stay under steam in the shower, or lean over the sink while hot water is running with a towel over your head. Let the steam open the pores up. From there, you can use a warm cloth to help you squeeze them or a "blackhead" remover (you can get them at walgreens or other drugstores). Wash your face again. After...it is important to use COLD water to rinse so that the pores close up. Then use an astrigent after. They smell, but the work.

A facial once a month is also good too. A GREAT GREAT GREAT product that I have is from walgreens...it's called "Mint julep masque" by queen helene! That's THE VERY BEST face mask I HAVE EVER USED!!!!!!!

You definitely don't want to squeeze them out. This will leave scars on your skin. There is a company that makes a blackhead remover (can't recall the name of the company) but you can find this tool at a larger drug chain, Wal-mart, Target, Sav-On, type of stores. It is a metal instrument that has small holes at each end of it. It's about 3-4 inches long and flat. It gives you directions on how to use it on the package. It worked great for me and left no scaring.

Use products like Biore line of skin care products. They have those nose strips for peeling blackheads. Use them regularly and you will be rid of them in no time. Also, make sure you always clean your face before going to bed at night to prevent excessive blackhead formation.

Those strips are terribly expensive. If you can get a buff sponge or even a green rough-side sponge usually for the kitchen (it's the same stuff they use to make the expensive bath pads) then use a good soap like Aveeno, NOT A BATH BAR, but Aveeno soap bar. Keep you face clean every day, morning and evening. They'll come off and you'll have your very own exfoliating tool without having to pay those "big shot" prices.

For the sponge and the soap, you may spend $5.00

You want to open your pores first. Professionals use steam.
Turn on the hot water and let the steam hit your face.
After your feel that you are starting to sweat a little. Gently squeeze.
If you push too hard or use your nails you can scar the pore and it will be an enlarged pore.
Wash your face afterwords.

Dab a towel with some hot water on your nose. They'll come off in a few minutes. Have fun.
