While caring for her today I noticed theses little white blisters and redness and swelling on her top gums where the uppers usually are. She says yes it hurts but doesnt want to go to dentist. Has anyone had this problem/ is there anything I can do to help her? Also a little bit of white film? Not alot cuz she cleans her teeth 3 to 4 times a day!!! I want to help her desperately any ideas what could be happening to her??? Thanks so much!

It sounds as if she does not have a good denture fit. She should let the sores heal (they sound like canker sores). You can buy many brands of gum pain reliever in the store. Then, she should make an appointment to have her denture lined so that it will fit better.

If there is a while film and blisters, she may have thrush that needs to be treated with antibiotics. That can get to be pretty painful.

Her dentures may also just be ill fitting.

her dentures are not fitting properly causing the redness, swelling and eventually sores where the blisters are. a dentist is mandatory. likely her denture needs to be relined.
