Yes, there are Currency Exchange counters on each one of the International terminals in JFK. There are also banks everywhere, and you could also exchange currencies there. As for the current exchange rate, I do not know, it varies from day to day. As for today:

1 USD = 3,1181 PLN (Polish National Bank's average exchange rate, as for today).

Yes, we do have ATMs here, but be ware of the charge for using other bank's ATM. They tend to charge the service a bit.
You can exchange dollars for zlotys here, in Poland, with no problem. There are currency exchanges not only in the Okecie airport (Warsaw), but in any city worth the name... and then, several of them (look for the sign "Kantor" or "Wymiana walut"). Of course banks provide exchange, as well as do most of the Post Offices.
Avoid exchanging your money at those shadowy men on the street who could be offering you "A better rate".

Your best rate will be directly from your bank. You will need to order it in advance, probably 1-2 weeks. If you don't have that much time, go ahead and convert it at the airport...both will add on a surcharge. However, you can now get money from ATM's in-country...they are just not as plentiful as they are here. Look for flea markets, which are usually open on Saturday mornings for great deals!
