It will hurt you like hek in a while but if you made your decision knowing your points and interests then keep up to it. When it becomes hard then, lock your doors and stay inside before you go out to look for him. Be strong that will make your future to be on the safer side.

Why did you text him and not tell him in person. Can you imagine how that made him feel? It also makes you look terrible for doing it that way. I don't know if it will ever affect you since you certainly didn't care about his feelings. After 3 years he deserved to be told in person.
