hey i know how hard this is but u know what kids are impressed with the things that hardly cost anything- make a cheap picnic up take enough for an ice lolly each and set off walking youll soon come to a place to sit talk and laugh - take a soccer ball for about a pound too if u want- or a water fight in the garden with old washing up bottles will amuse everyone especially if u r getting wet also- good luck x

Kids love making dens. You don't need a garden, some chairs with a sheet over the top will do, plus some picnic food. OK won't keep them happy for 6 weeks but it's a start!
Kids also like swapping things - do they collect stamps? coins? Have their friends round and have a swap party.

No, but I will pray for you :) I've got 1 kid, no cash, no car, can't imagine with 3 though...my friend who has 4 kids reckons don't set yourself crazy targets, take one day at a time, just do one diff thing every day - park/adventure playground/painting/modelling or sculpture/craft with a variety of material/rearranging the furniture and decorating in their bedrooms or 'doing housework'/outings to every single free/cheap child-friendly venue in your area, spaced evenly throughout the 6 wks/make dens in the house and garden with all sorts of available stuff, bedding, camping gear, whatever, and let them eat or even sleep in their dens if you think it's safe/water in the garden, bowls/paddling pools (very cheap at ELC at the moment), water slidy thing I don't know the name of/start growing some plants with them, so they can have their own potted plant, preferably of something edible - peas, raspberries etc, so they get a reward for looking after it/um...run out of ideas...good luck!!

Go to public places like Parks, library's, zoo's, etc. You can contact your local city hall to find out what's free in your area. Good Luck

Take them to the park - kids love that.
Bake a cake or something with them.
Make Play-doh with them, then have fun making stuff with it.
