Drag the rug and the friend outside and hose both of them off.
Then hang the rug up to air dry and send your drunk friend home in a cab.

One time an uninvited guest tossed their cookies on my parents hardwood floor. My friends threw him outside and locked the door (it was snowing out). I then had to clean up the mess by using a butterknife to get it out of the cracks of the floor. We smashed his mailbox at a later date.
