I'd say the most influential person is the man who changed a whole pagan continent to worshippers of One God--Prophet Muhammad. His message and ideas are still practised carefully, his words and manners were carefully recorded for future generations...Islam is the fastest growing religion 1400 years later!!!

Most people have said Jesus as over 3 billion people are Christians which makes sense. Without Emperor Gaius Flavius Valerius Aurelius Constantinus (Constantine The Great) then Christianity would have not become the dominant religion in Europe so in many ways he was essential in the spread of Christianity. Vlad the Impailer stopped the Turks from conquoring Europe in the middle ages and as such has an equal claim in some ways.
But the guy who said Ghengis Khan has given a good answer as something crazy like 20% of the whole population of the world is decended from him.
Personally I'd say that the most influential person ever was either Herodotos who wrote the first delibarate histotical account "in the hope of thereby preserving from decay the remembrance of what men have done, and of preventing the great and wonderful actions of the Greeks and the Barbarians" which is one of the most important concepts ever devised. Or Gilgamesh the King of Sumeria whose life is the inspiration of the oldest written story in existance.

St Peter he was the founder of the Christian Church which has since grown to such huge proportions, and gone through so many distortions, that it has been the sole cause for more deaths than even the black plague. It has also offered hope and comfort to millions as well so good or bad I would say he is the most influential man since day one.
Ogma is said to have created the first early irish alphabet consisting of Runes.
And Emperor Constantine would never have turned so many to Christianity if his mother St Helen hadn't raised him a christian in spite of his father. (kinda the chicken or the egg?)
Is Jesus or God considered to be a man? I mean if Jesus is considered the son of God, and God being God?

Even though I am not religious, if you look at the world today, the way people live their lives and all the wars it has to be someone with a religious basckground, like Jesus Christ . Maybe the person who wrote the bible or Koran because even though there are loads of athiests who don't believe in God, most of us still try to follow basic rules of not committing crime, not trying to hurt other people etc....which comes from these books and their ideas.

Jesus without a doubt. People may not realise what he intended, but he was definately here. Any man who can dominate for more than 2000 years is most definately influential.

Hard to answer; I've been influenced in so many ways...But if I had to put a finger on it, I guess "GOD", because just by learning about "HIM" it has made so many other aspects of my life fall into some semblance of order
