I think the Trinidad&Tobago should AT LEAST been second- she was beautiful and in such an interesting... AND, doesn't it seem as though no blacks have ever won before? Very fair indeed! Plus, I heard that the Puerto Ricans have been winning to much and that's unfair. I have nothing against the actual winner, she seems like a very beautiful and nice young woman, but I still would've preferred the Trinidad&Tobago- much more unique in her own special way. With her slanted eyes and perfect figure... just glowing. Anyway, what do you all think???

I think pageants are stupid.
And quite frankly, if all races are screaming for equality, why the h&ll is there a Miss Puerto Rico..... or a Miss Black America, in the first place? What do you suppose would happen if there was a Miss Caucasian Pageant? (Miss White America) All heck would break loose! These pageants do nothing to advocate peace on earth. They are basically the televised version of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Everyone already knows that beauty is only skin deep. And if the greatest accomplishment these young ladies experience in life is their fake walking, fake talking, fake answers for questions and the famous fake smiles with their fake veneered teeth, it's pitiful indeed. GEEEZZZZ. Yippee for the pretty ones? What lucky genes they got !!!
It's all fake.... and the person who wins is the person who faked out the judges the best. (If I want fake, I'll watch the wrestling channel) Do these girls truely represent their countries? God, I hope not.
So.... to answer your question about Miss Puerto Rico becoming Miss Universe?
Big Whoop.

I think she deserved to when. She was up aganist a lot of good women. Even though I think that Miss Ghana and Miss India should of beenin the top. And Miss Japan gave them a run for there money. But there was something different about miss Puerto Rico that made her stand out. I don't know exactly what but she had that extra somthing.

Every year the judges pick out a beauty from more than 80 countries who best represent the epitome of the word "beauty" from across the universe. This may be the main criteria, but nonetheless, we get to see different judges on every pageant year who have different interpretation of this.

Every year we get to see different beauties. There are years that Puerto Rico is not well represented, and so are other countries, that why we get different country winners.

I think this year Ms. Puerto Rico is a knockout, although I like Ms. Japan more (sorry, I'm biased), and it would have been a thrill to see an Asian winning again after several years. She exudes a royal aura and is more queenly than Ms. Puerto Rico.

you know I do not agree with Puerto Rico wining either. that is like America winning. surpirisingly T& T won the first black woman in 1977 and again in 1998 then Botswana won in 1999 only threee black people who well. Puerto Rico really waqs like a 6 on a scale of 1-10

i think the "fainting" part was a little too much -- it's a miss universe beauty contest -- not who gets to be queen of the world pageant.

Nonsense! she is beautiful and intelligent. 5-crowns and we won't stop there! As long as we have the Donald on OUR side or is bye bye to his 3-complexes in the country.
