It is the sheep thing. They want someone to do their thinking for them.... they want someone (who they think is smarter or smart enough) to lead them.... having someone to tell them how to spend the fruits of their labors via high taxation.
then again... mabey they love high taxes and a multitude of laws(gives them something to break).... having no borders.... no common language.... no consequences, no boundaries....
sort of adds up to having "no brains" doesn't it. It could end up with having no country.

"A little learning is a dangerous thing". You my friend are one big example of that maxim. First of all, even if I were to follow your (il)logical argument, then I don't see your point. Do the liberals believe this government harmed the citizens? Probably. Does it mean that they can't ask for a change??
Even according to your (il)logic I don't see a problem here. Some people feel that the current government has harmed them (your first argument) and therefore they want to change it and replace it with a benevolent government that WILL NOT harm them and instead will actually help them (your second argument). What's wrong with that? I don't see a contradiction there.
However, on the other hand, if I were to look through your (il)logic and apply some real logic (and facts), then no, liberals don't want the government to take care of them. Liberals want the government create a level playing field for everybody. The child of a poor 2-shift-working, minimum-wage-earning single mother should have the same opportunity and platform as the billionaire's kid. And the only way that field can be leveled is by government intervention. Liberals don't believe in perpetual welfare, but they do believe in effective welfare that will help people not need welfare anymore. Have you ever pushed a car to start? You have to push to a certain speed when it can run on its own. If you just push it a little bit and let go, then the car will never start.
I don't really care to explain any further, you probably wouldn't last a minute in a debate with any halfway decent liberal.

Well I am not sure can you explain the neocon disorder of blaming everything on the Liberal and nothing on the Republicans where it belongs. Democrats have had no say or power in Washington since 2000 so get a life. The Conservative Republicans are responsible for anything from then on. The Liberals do not think our government had anything to do with 9/11 unlike the neocon sites that accuse them of staging 9/11.We are against the war that ensued because ONE MORE TIME! Osama is a Saudi Prince, most of the pilots were Saudis and Afghanistan is where Osama hides. And we've stopped looking for him because it's too hard in the mountains?????What does this mean???

Government is like a bus.
There exsist people who subscribe to a rigged 9/11, I am not one of them i am just going to answer so that you an eight year old can understand.
the role of the driver will be......GWB
the role of the bus will be....the government
the role of the passengers will be......both liberal and conser.
the role of the cops will be .............the military and intellegence groups.
Before 9/11 the driver of the Bus, was too busy taking breaks to pay attention to the road and the all the signs around him.
Some evil people hit the bus on purpose, whether it was the drivers fault isnt the point..... the driver should have been paying attention to the road regardless.....
After the bus was repaired and the evil people busted by the cops , the bus driver had the cops bust other people in no way involved in the first crash, and had the cops begin to intorgate the passengers on the bus who also had nothing to do with the crash.............
in short the driver sucks.....
Solution.........Change the Driver.
the end.

I love answering questions asked by Rush Limbaugh wannabe's.
#1. Those that think 9/11 was an inside job are a few out on the fringe. Also, I have seen conservative blogs pose the same question, so that proves even some "righties" are contemplating this theory. The truth is, our government has done many horrible things to it's people in the past, from the secret test of nuclear radiation on enlisted men back in the 50s to various test of nerve and biological agents on during the 60s, all of which have been documented true, and admitted by republicans.
#2. Liberals don't want government to take care of ALL of us.... we want a fair wage law so people don't have to rely on food stamps and welfare. We want government oversight on corporate america so that we as citizens can breath clean air, and drink clean water. We realize that roads, schools and libraries don't build themselves, so we realize that taxation is neccessary. The only difference is that we liberals believe that in a supposed "time of war", lowering taxes creates an inevitable bubble of US debt that rests on the shoulders of future generations.
We don't want to be given everything by government....we just expect parity and fairness across all socio-economic & cultural groups.

Either you are a complete hypocrit and also want government to take care of you, or you do not think it important that the food you buy at the grocery is probably safe, that the money you put in the bank is protected, that your house won't burn down for lack of a fired department, and so on. My guess is that you're just a loud-mouthed hypocrit.
By the way, providing for the general welfare is among the specific purposes for which the Constitution says our government was instituted. Isn't it a little un-American to want our government to ignore the Constitution?

I think that the government and the Israeli Mossad was behind 9/11 and I am not a liberal. Just know better. I do not need the government to take care of me either. Stop generalizing. It makes you look bad.

In the first case (9/11) when they say "government" they mean conservatives. In the second case when they say "government" they mean themselves. They figure that the liberal government will play robin hood and take all the money from evil big business and rich conservatives and give it to the pure souls that are known as liberals.
It's really sick if you think about it.

1. I don't think 9/11 was a conspiracy.
2. I don't need the government taking care of me.
Does this mean I have to give up my membership in the liberal club?

They're actually two different groups, though they're not mutually exclusive. The first is the conspiracy nuts, the second is the "nanny-state" liberals, who become socialist when this stance is taken to an extreme.

Because liberals think that everyone is a stupid, lazy a**ed bum ,and the only way we can do anything is with all mighty government buttin' in to beat a trail for them.
