Jefferson is my favorite president, because while he had very strong political views (opposed a strong central govenment, supported states' rights) he was willing to re-evaluate those views in light of specific issues and situations and make an independent decision for the good of the country. Following his "political platform" he never would have agreed to the Louisiana Purchase, but recognizing that it was in the nation's best interests, he went through with the purchase. Jefferson also believed very strongly in individuals rights, most clearly articulated in the Declaration of Independence.

As for me, I am a fairly liberal independent.

Ronald Reagan

He helped end Communism. He believed in Democracy and was a true American hero.

Unlike people like Clinton, he actually stood for action. Clinton is a disgrace. He is a coward. Clinton did NOTHING after the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole. NOTHING. Clinton's actions gave the terrorists MORE power. You want to blame someone for 9/11? Blame the coward Bill Clinton.

Ronald Reagan told the terrorists that he would be on their door step if they didn't give back our hostages. As soon as he became President our hostages were returned.

Die Hard Republican

I love apple pie
I love the military
I love men of action

I can't stand coward Liberals/Democrats

I believe the person above is referring to Jackson and not Jefferson's Native American policies.

My favorite American is Alexander Hamilton. He is underrated and did more for our country than most presidents.

Although he wasn't a very good president, I admire John Adams for his contribution during the Revolution.

My favoriate is Reagan. He restored faith in America, restored our military, cut VERY high taxes, and defeated Communism. Second is Theodore Roosevelt.

I am a Republican.

Thomas Jefferson. He said that each generation must revolt and over-throw those with wealth and power, or just sucumb to their manipulations. Im registered as a Democrat. I don't like Jefferson's racist views on the Native Americans, which in part led to their near genocide.
