Ok, so I feel about silly right now, but I created a document a few months ago and now I can't get into it. I've tried all my old and new passwords and nothing works. Is there a way to "crack" the code or am I just up the creek?

I don’t know what ACDSEE means. Sorry.

It cannot be opened as read only.

And the shift key did not work.

But thanks everyone for your input and suggestions.
At least I didn’t get a bunch of “You’re an idiot” answers.
:)

nicely Im not sure if its a similar in 2000 yet in ninety seven you're able to do the shop as determination and then on the ideal hand component there's a button for innovations. on the backside of the show that pops up there is the alternative "Password to open:" or "Password to change:"

i am not sure about this but i believe the password utility is pretty simple to bypass

on previous versions of microsoft access, you could bypass the password, by simply holding down the shift key as you were opening the file,

try it on the word document, it may work, apoligies if not

Can you open it as read-only? If so, just copy/paste everything in the read-only version to a new document....w/o a password :)
