For Girls: anyone with a hormonal imbalance get pregnant?

my fiancee has a hormonal imbalance where she gets her menstrual cycle twice a month, usually lasts about 5 days at a time. we havent talked to an OB yet, but in november we will be trying to conceive. i was curious if theres any girls out there with a similar condition who have conceived? she was on Diane-35 to control her cycles as an adolescent and shes worried that it may have affected her fertility.

yep.....I had to go on the pill for about a year to get regulated...then after that I was ok. Then I got pregnant after I went off. I am now pregnant with my 4th....so yes it is soo possible!!

Yes it can happen - I ended up pregnant with a similar condition.

I was diagnosed with "Bilateral Ovulation Disorder" meaning that I (typically) ovulate from one or both ovaries every month, and end up having VERY irregular menstrual patterns. In a case like this, you just keep trying (because, hey, you've got 2x the chances of hitting a fertile period!), or you can talk to a fertility specialist and they may be able to regulate her cycle with synthetic hormones and get her to ovulate on a predictable cycle.

oh, and about diane-35. it is a contraceptive. it prevents pregnancy and is also OCCASSIONALLY used to clear up acne. it's still used today... it's just a less commonly used type. it should not in ANY WAY effect fertility.
