Have a Nissan Altima which when braking, makes this loud whining noise then when I'm turning at the same time, it also makes a loud grinding noise. The noises only happen when I'm braking and turning.

There's no problem with braking or turning, other than the noises.

If there was no problem with braking, I would suspect there would be no noise when you depress the brake. It gets louder when you turn because the wheel, hub, rotor all flex a small amount when extra side load is applied to them (turning a corner) . Its not a wheel bearing, that would probably make noise without the brake being applied.Bad CV joints make a clicking noise in a turn. A bad CV boot makes no noise, it just allows the grease in the joint to escape and the dirt to go in which of course makes the joint fail. Go get your brakes fixed SOON!

Because I'm not there to listen, all I can give you are some areas to look. Your front brakes may be fine but, front pads have squealers to tell you your pads are getting low. And when you add a loud grinding noise, your pads may be metal to metal. Unless you can raise the axle and look at the pads, inside an outside, you should-not drive the car. You have a problem that requires a proper looking into and not a guess. How bad is bad- I've seen a car that the brake cail. piston was the only thing stopping the car. Your life is worth more than my quess.

Your brake pads are bad. The brakes will still work but the pads need to be replaced soon.

could be a wheel bearing. A cv axle would click only when turning. A wheel speed sensor may be bent or something, take it to a shop and have them figre out what the problem is, then take it home and fix it yourself.

whining noise sounds like its in all probability a belt, may well be a twist of fate it sounds like its coming by the audio equipment, you may get a sprig to spray onto your belt thatl make it pass away, trouble-free restore if it particularly is the undertaking and if not, no injury carried out

sounds like your brakes have worn thin and you may have a damaged CV joint/boot.

time to go see the mechanic at any rate.
