It's been a while, but I say congratulations to you! Bridge to Terabithia is a story that's well worth reading. I don't quite understand your question; if you want to know when Jesse and Leslie meet, it's at the school track meet where she outruns all the boys. Perhaps this summary will help:

Good luck!

I have this book, but haven't read it for some 22 years.

The question is rather simple.

What brings Jesse and Leslie together is death.

The author didn't let this on, because he/she wanted the reader to discover what brings the two of them together in the end.

It's a painful lesson for the boy, but it is something that he has to understand.

Haven't read it hon, but it's soooo easy to find. Go to ebay.com, and under the search field type in 'Bridge to Terabithia'. You can buy it for like $1.

Leslie's death, sadly. And their game of pretend. And the track meet or something. I read it in fourth grade... I don't remember much... T_T

This is an excellent book. Death--and grief--are central themes.
