I am pregnant now with my second child.. I'm about 2 months.. With my first kid, I think I stayed about the same my 1st , by the time i started to show in the 2nd, I think at the end, i had gained like 12 lbs, and by the time i was fixing to have him, i think i gained 30-32 lbs. Most people will tell you, on average, you gain about 25 to 30 lbs. If you are worried about weight gain, don't. The best tip I can give you is to not eat more than you usually do and take prenantal vitamins. Have regular checkups with you gyno and tell him about anything you think might be out of whack. Good luck and I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Just a few pounds in the first trimester, maybe 5 or 6. It got crazy in the second trimester though, gained like 25-30 lbs then, and a couple more in the last trimester! AHHHHHHH Total I think was like 45 with both of my kids. But you know what? I lost it all within a couple of months, and you will too if you put an honest effort into it, so don't stress if you gain more than you would have liked. It's all worth it in the end for a healthy baby.

Weight is not only different with different pregnant women, weight is also different between pregnancies.
For instance - my first child was born at 9 lbs 14 oz. I gained a total of 17 lbs with that pregnancy. My second child was 7 lbs 15 oz, yet I gained 63 lbs. Thanks Burger King! I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant with twins - and have gained a little less than 6 lbs.
Always go by what your doctor says. If your OB/GYN feels that you are gaining too little/too much weight, you'll be given a directive. It can be something as little as "quit going through the drive thru" - or in some cases, a referral to a nutritionist. In the meantime, just stay away from junk food, eat as healthy as you can, and continue to stay hydrated.

29 lb is the typical endorsed weight obtain throughout being pregnant. You are doing first-rate! Beyond the 25-35 lb that's endorsed (supplied you're no longer chubby to begin with), your weight obtain has little to do with youngster's start weight. Besides, greater than eight lb, you're watching at a knowledge C-segment. I received a whole 50 lb. Towards the tip my OB steered I cut back on subtle carbs like rice and candy culmination like grapes and melons. I had a 7 hour exertions and popped him out simply. My son used to be born 7 lb five oz., very healthful. But 7 months after supply, I am chubby. I have misplaced 20 lb (I'm breastfeeding), nonetheless 30 to move. Looking ahead, I plan to obtain 30 lb for the moment youngster. I suspect you bought wiser after your fifty five lb obtain as good. 30 lb is first-rate, desire you're going to have a extraordinary supply and healthful youngster.
