the owners manual will tell you how much weight it will tow. stabilizers can't hurt if you are at or near max weight for tow car. the state will tell you what length of trailer they allow on the hi ways. If you do not have the owners manual a dealer can tell you or go on line to the manufacture

It isn't the lenght (so she said) it's the weight. I pulled the max I could using a Cherokee 4 L, 6 cyc. it was 4400lbs. It also got 10 MPH. My trailer was 24', I wish i would have reduced the weight by at least 1000 lbs.

Instead of sway (because 19' should sway at all) you'll be better off getting WDB, weight distribution bars, usually standard.

But there's one thing they don't tell you when buying a trailer: The weight of the trailer is basically dry weight. You have to add for extras, and 2 big extras are the awning (300#) and the fridge (300#), now add your clothes, the grill, toys and the other needless junk.

I eneded up keeping mine on the eastern shore of VA at a campground that actually pulls it on and off a site for me, for a small fee and about $300/yr storage.

Double check the manula for how much you can tow, and if you don't have them installed, put on a HD oil cooler and HD radiator fan-both shouldn't run but a few hundred combined and help your engine last for many trips to come.

Goodluck & Godspeed.....................

I have a 2005 Mountaineer, with 8 cylinders, AWD and our guide says we can tow 9600 pounds. A sway bar gives you better control, but I don't think it would probably be necessary. A 19 ft is not that long of a trailer, that you would probably have to worry about it.
