I've heard of it happening but I would talk to your dr about it and make sure there isn't something seriously wrong because there could be. Best of luck.

Some thoughts for you.....

Never get up from a seat/lying down position quickly as it's more likely to make the room spin. Take your time.

Make sure you are getting enough iron in your diet. You could be anemic. Consider a *chelated* iron supplement, which is better absorbed by your body that the prescription kind. (Talk to someone at the health food store.) Chelated iron is also less likely to cause constipation.

Have your caregiver check your blood pressure.

DO NOT let them just say, "well, you're pregnant, aren't you?" which is what my OB did with my first pregnancy. I thought what I felt was normal because of him. When I was PG with my second and under the care of midwives instead, I passed out behind the wheel and totaled my car. I was evidently milldly anemic. Probably had the same problem with my first PG but that OB didn't catch it.

This happens frequently, my mom had the same troubles. It almost feels like you are blacking out correct? Well, it is normally caused from a lack of blood circulation in your body. Consider the total amount of weight you have gained, it plays a great part in this. If you haven't noticed, whenever you squat or get up from sitting/laying you get the feeling that you are 'loosing consciousness'. Stay off your feet as much as possible and stretch frequently.... once you have your baby you should notice a difference. Keep healthy...... and try to take it easy.

NO! This is NOT normal. Get away from the computer, and see your doctor. NOW!

For all you know, you're hemorrhaging, anemic, have low blood pressure, or an alien life force inside you draining your essence.

You'll never find out on Yahoo hon.

GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR!

That is normal but get it checked out. A lot of your blood is being redistributed and causes dizziness when standing too quick. Just slow down and try not to stand up real fast.

I agree Katy, I have heard of it happening to ppl before too. Although letting your doctor know about it right away or when it happens again to make sure everything is okay with you and the baby.
GL all the best wishes to you and your baby!!

I got really dizzy a couple of times when I was pregnant. It turned out to be ok but I would get it checked out anyway.

NO. If you are lightheaded, dizzy, or pass out, you should seek medical attention IMMEDIATELY. You could be developing hypertension or toxemia. Though I doubt you'd be developing toxemia this early, it isn't unheard of. Also, drink plently of water and get plenty of rest.
