Does it impress people who aren't? Just curious since so many people just love to point out they are drunk or high...

because they ARE drunk and/or high...they dont know what they are saying..and dont have complete control over it...its not their fault..well i mean it is...but they cant control what they're saying

This can have several answers-----Mostly no one wants to admit they are getting a buzz when they first are consuming alcohol. But as they become more inebriated and become more talkative, they feel that they should be given amends during conversations ---because they are impaired in thinking and forming intelligent conversations, because they have had a few drinks. Later after many drinks ---they have lost all maturity and reasoning and will babble on about anything and everything. Will not remember a lot of what they said or did the next day. A person should always know their own limit in drinking, in order of not making a donkeys-rear out of them selves in public places.

I've noticed that, too. In photographs, people always raise their drinks in the air as if getting drunk were a real accomplishment.

Actually, in my experience, people tend to deny that theyre drunk or high, whenever they are clearly drunk or high.

because they think they are cool and want everyone to know how cool they are you usually here things like "dude im so wasted right now" or "Im soooooo high" followed by a laugh. they are trying to impress you. these people are usually losers trying to fit in to a group or click they need to sober up and try to find some real friends

The people that do that are mostly in high school or immature college kids. When you grow up, you wont hear that,, as often.. :)

usually people drink and use drugs to feel good and they just want to share the feeling with the rest of the world and let them know so they can be free with it.
