What do you actually get to do with the points that you get for asking and answering questions?

You can ask questions with your points, or you can redeem them for valuable prizes! (j/k) Seriously, you need them to ask questions. They might also make people with no lives of their own envy you, and people with lives of their own pity you. Great idea, huh? They do make you feel like you helped someone, too.
