You say "How can you not support abortion yet support the death penalty?" Well here's my answer: The people who get the death penalty deserve it. Does an unborn, innocent baby deserve to be killed just because it's parents want to live their lives as they wish? What do you think of that? I think you have no arguement.

Scarlett Rose: Give it a rest. Nobody has ever been raped 50 times. You can't possibly think you're going to make me change my mind about this by using fiction stories and making up hypothetical questions are you?

I totally agree with you and with the person who posted the question for liberals. That baby hasn't even gotten the chance to live, how could anyone kill it? It's wrong.

I totally agree with you. As for the person who said a baby is a parasite...... I don't even know what to say. That person and Scarlet Rose have obviously never been pregnant. I have been raped. Had I gotten pregnant, I honestly believe I would have carried the baby. I'm not sure if I would have raised the baby, or if I would have put the baby up for adoption, but I would NOT have killed the innocent baby. I think that abortion should be illegal, except in extreme circumstances. I don't think it should be legal as a birth-control. I support the death-penalty if there is no doubt about the person being guilty. They did something to deserve to die. What did a baby do? The parents should be punished for having sex when they knew a baby could result from it. Am I making sense? Sorry if I'm not. This is a very touchy subject for me. My biological mother almost aborted me.

I'm liberal, pro-choice, and for the death penalty. I think it is up to the mother ultimately choose what is right for her. I also believe men shouldn't have a opinion until they begin to become pregnant themselves, though if they are married, he should have some say, but still, the choice is the mother's as it is her body. It's not a baby, it's a fetus, it cannot live on its own.

I don't like abortion, but I think it is important for women not be forced to have a baby. Yes, some people are stupid and should be using condoms or not having sex at all, but this is not an ideal world, and I would rather have safe abortion facilities rather than dangerous ones that result in botched abortions. If abortion is outlawed again, it won't go away, and many women will die as a result, along with the "baby" you are so willing to protect. When abortion was made legal (again) in 1972, abortions didn't just start up then, they has been going on illegally and dangerously for decades.

What about the children who aren't aborted and aren't given up for adoption and grow up resented, unwanted, and unloved? I know this isn't always true, but for a lot of children out there it is. Is that fair for them?

Oh, and not all who are sentenced to the death penalty are deserving of it. What about the ones who are falsely accused and convicted? You don't seem to care about that. The death penalty isn't perfect, either.

I don't think abortion is right if it is being used as birth control. But that doesn't mean that I am not pro choice. It depends in some situations it is necessary. I have a cousin who got pregnant she wanted the baby but she couldn't carry it because the baby was making her diabetes go crazy so she had to abort her child at 12 weeks.

I just don't think it is right for me to tell someone they should keep or abort a baby. Just like I wouldn't want anyone to tell me. Although I could never abort my baby. Yes it is murder only when the heart starts to beat but yet I rather see that happen then to see on the news were someone left their baby in the trash to die.

I agree with you. I happen to be both pro-life, and against the death penalty, but I would never shed a tear for the murders who get painlessly put down. Even with my beliefs, I cant understand how someone can compare the two. An innocent baby did nothing to deserve being butchered.

what if habing the baby would present health complications? what if the mother still wants an abortion? if abortion is illegal, then the woman will have to go and get a backalley abortion, increasing the risks of a botched abortion. so then, both the unborn child AND the mother would die.
then, there's also the thought that people die every day. babies die every day. maybe not in the US, but it happens. what exactly can you do to save THEM, then?
a child is born every 3 seconds, and a person dies every 2. if all women have a kid every single time they get pregnant, then what would that do to overpopulation?

wow..scarlett rose is a straight idiot......the bible is "bullshit?!!"..is she for real....jeezzzzzzzz her thoughts are all messed up..i couldnt even get past her comment it was so ridicolous......

come one now.....making abortions illegal are gonna kill women?....ok so why are women still being murdered today ..abortion is legal right now..so why are women still being murdered and having babies ripped out of them...if all it takes is legalizing abortion to make it right.....

murder is murder....there is NO RIGHT about it. The women choose to be selfish and murder an innocent life simply because the doctor said it may have down syndrome.or because they dont want to except responsibility for opening their legs...do u know how many doctors have been wrong about these kinds of diagnosis and the children come out perfectly healthy?.....

some people on here have a few screws loose....they really shouldn't be adding to the population.....

I am personally pro-life. That means I believe in absolutely no killing whatsoever. THOU SHALT NOT KILL remember that one? However, abortion is a personal decision. It may be a sin, but this country is not supposed to legislate morality. Some women choose to have abortions. Some men choose to cheat on their wives. Some people choose to be gluttons. Those all may be sins, but none of them are against the law. Everyone will answer for their actions on judgment day, and some of the Holy Rollers out there may be surprised when they end up in hell.

If you had tapeworm, would you take tapeworm medication and consider that to be murder?

A baby is a parasite up until about 22-23 weeks at which point it could theoretically survive outside the womb, before that, parasite, after that, living breathing human being
