Do I need to specially wrap my sticks of RAM to keep them safe during shipping such as using static bags? If so, where do I get these bags?

It is certainly a good idea to enclose computer memory in some sort of anti-static bag to protect them from being killed by static--more of a problem if the humidity level is low. You could probably visit a local computer store and ask them if they could give you one for the memory. When working with computers, those bags are a dime a dozen.

Hope this helps.

I'm not to sure what static bags are but if i were you id try using bubble wrap and water proof bags. Simply wrap the ram tightly in the bubble wrap to prevent damage during shipping and put the wrapped item in a waterproof bag just in case. Also you might want to try polystirene if your shipping them in lots.

You can get static bags at a computer store or just bubble wrap will work. Both would be best (static bag then bubble wrap around that)

Yes, definately wrap them in anti-static bags\material. You can get it at Radio Shack or most any electronics store.

IF you have the box from a video card, hard drive, etc that you bought there should be anti staic wrap in the box.....

BTW, what happended to the container the RAM came in?

I shipped a stick of RAM once. If you have the original package it came in, perfect. Just wrap that up in a little bubble wrap and you should be fine. If not, and you have a UPS store around, they will have the packaging you need and they will do it for you.
