NO WAY! You are NOT shallow or selfish!
I just had a tummy tuck done two weeks ago....I had a twin pregnancy 3 years ago and my stomach was so gross and over-stretched that people were asking me "when I was due." I WAS SO DEPRESSED and ashamed of my body. It affected many parts of my life.
Fortunately, I have a wonderful husband who supported me when I decided to look into getting a tummy tuck and came with me to my consultations. We had said, "if it costs more than $5000, we won't do it." But when the price tag came back at a little under $9000 and our doctor told us we could finance it through Capital One Health Care Finance, he still understood how important it was for me - mentally and physically - and we did it! (See if that financing is available in your state too!)
Your self-esteem is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. And for some people, "diet and exercise" is NOT enough to remove excess skin and flab caused by your skin losing its elasticity.
GO FOR IT. YOU DESERVE IT.

Don't see anything wrong with it unless you are one of those superskinny women who gripes constantly about how they look. You don't seem to be that way. I think you have a valid reason for wanting one and explained it well. If you think it's gross and you can't fix it with diet and exercise (your tummy/belly fat is 70% diet, 30 exercise), then go right ahead. More power to you. Have no idea why your boyfriend might say that. Is he afraid you'll look too good and want to leave him? Tell him your reasons as you have explained them here and I wish you all the best.

haha no. Your doing something for yourself that would increase your self esteem. And its not even like your adding something that wasnt already there...like breast implants or anything...your just going back to the way your once were before you had your children. Everybody wants to feel alittle better about themselves right? Theres nothing at all wrong with that. I could see if your kids were in need of something financially and your using extra money for that instead of tending to their needs but thats not the case right?
ok then go for it..good luck :)

No, I don't think you're selfish or shallow. Sometimes we must do things for ourselves. So if it will make you feel better then go for it.

He's insecure! Your not selfish at all. It's something that you want and are willing to work for it. How would that possibly make you selfish???
You go girl, do what makes you happy!
