Love on the cheap
1. Get a newspaper and red paint. Roll a few pages of the newspaper tightly, then cut an "X" on the top, about an inch or two down. Twist a half turn. Do several. Color the "petals" red. It's not the roses... it's the love behind them (and no thorns).
2. Get two cardboard boxes and a broom handle. Put the boxes on each end and write "1000 lbs" on them. Put on a sleeveless, torn t-shirt and do muscle-man poses for her. (Hey, you want her to do lingerie, right?) It takes a very strong man (inside) to poke fun at his own masculinity outside. She may laugh and you may feel stupid, but, inside, she will see you as strong. Pretty attractive kinda thing, guy.
3. Fix her dinner (Mac and cheese, if that's all you can do). But set the da** table! Use napkins and candles. Drape a dishtowel across your arm and be her waiter for the evening. Pretend you took her out to the fancy restauraunt.
4. Clean the garage, mow the yard, or do whatever it is she's asked you to do several times already, but you didn't. This time, do it without her asking.
5. Stop. Tell her you're sorry for being so stressed you couldn't treat her the way she deserves. Not just about the anniversary, but day to day. Promise to do better. Day to day. Keep your promise.

Well, you've got a little work to do. Find a recipe for something that can cook in the oven while the kids are awake and that you two can enjoy once the kids go to bed. You can get an inexpensive bottle of wine, some candles, etc. Write her a poem or just a simple love letter letting her know (and reminding yourself) how much you love and NEED her. Those little, heartfelt things make up for the forgetting.

Breakfest in Bed. Followed by a complete day of Whatever the Wife wants. And when you get a moment take her gently by the hand look deep into her eyes and tell her how much you truely Love her. A nice moonlight walk is always nice as well. If you live near a beach that would be best.

Make her a card. Make up some gift certificates for special things you can do for her. Write her a letter and remind her about the time you first fell in love with her. Best wishes and happy anniversary!!

i think things from the heart means more to people then buying things. my son made a mother's day card at school i love it. it in my office where i can see everyday. make her a card, give her a massage and fix her dinner or clean house for her. here a idea make coupons for her like example: body massage for 2 hours, a kiss on the lips. i hope that helps. congtrs. on your anniversary.

Oh fer cryin' out loud! It's only a stupid anniversary. Get a grip man! Beat your chest and remind her who the boss is. And do your time on the couch like the rest of us...
