They can switch as often as they want, AS LONG AS it's not during a pitch.

not sure but I think only if a new pitcher is brought out of the bull pen then the batter can switch sides. Say the count is 2 ball and no strikes....the manager decides to change pitchers at this point.
I think the batter would be able to change sided at this point.
But that would be the only time he can switch during an at bat

Yes they could, but in baseball you hit (if you can) from the opposite side from where the pitcher throws from.

So if there is a left-handed pitcher, you would want to hit right-handed. That is why you see "situational lefties" coming out of the bull-pen to face a good left-handed hitter.

By hitting from the opposite side of the pitcher's throwing arm you can see the ball's release easier from the pitcher's hand.

It could happen, but is extremely unlikely because the hitter would know going into the at bat that they needed to hit from a certain side.

Go Tigers.

A batter can switch sides as many times as he wants to in the same at bat. Although the ump might get mad.

The batter can switch boxes at any time, provided he does not do it after the pitcher is ready to pitch. (Rule: 6.06(b))

Of course. As many times as he wants.

Depends on your leagues rules. My son's league allows you to swap. I would check into what your league allows.
