I was able to rent from them without a card. If you do get a card (that is free) then you get special discounts. I would get a card, if you do not already have on (and if you go to Blockbuster at least once a month). If you do not go there often, then i would not even bother in getting a card at all.

yes you do. they are fairly easy to apply for and get. also you are not confined to using your card in only your state. if you are traveling or visiting out of town you can you your blockbuster card to rent movies in another state. also, you might want to look into Netflix. I recently subscribed to Netflix and i find its a lot cheaper than burning gas to go to Blockbusters and the movies are delivered right to my front door. And the best part, NO LATE FEES!!!

If you lost your card but have a membership then yea you can still rent....

I believe you do for their video store but the card at no charge.
You can also go online they have movies as low as $5.99 a month check the following link out. They offer a free trial. So does netflix.com
