A Pirate! or a Wench! A pirate costume can be made with creativity... that is one of the cool things about Pirate costumes. If you are wanting to be creative yet still wear a what's hot in 2006 costume... I would say that you may also find some good ideas for halloween costumes by browsing through a halloweencostume online store. I have listed a couple of good halloween costume sites below. Try them out see if you find something creative... There are instructions on how to make a homemade pirate costume at the pirate costume site listed below also.

Try being a CORN ON THE COB. My daughter was one when she was 1, but an adult corn would be completly unique. Most people have never even heard of a child being that. The costume is yellow on the outside with a green strip down the middle, and your head pops out the top with some brown on it. Its something.

Come as yourself, its alot of fun.
Get some of that ink they stamp hands with in bars that shows up only under black light. Rub it all over your face and hands. Put a black light over your door. Turn on both the black light and the regular hallway light. The white light blocks the blacklight effect.
Answer the door and say
"Nice costume. Do you like mine?"
(confused looks since you appear normal. Maybe some mumbles of "yeah nice")
Then say "Good because usually I look like THIS!" and hit the hall light switch turning off the white light. You instantly turn into a green patchy ghoul looking person with black eye-sockets, yellow teeth, and pink nails. Be prepared for reactions like having children run away screaming and parents cursing (then laughing)

take a section of flex duct and cut it so you can drop it over your head and then take some aquarium hose and affix a black t-shirt to the end and have just your head sticking through. just make sure u have enough so it comes from your feet and curves up around your head and sticks out say 5 or 6 inches from your face.

contact a local HVAC supply for a short length of it I think it comes in diameters up like 32 "

umm my friend dressed up like she was a bath tub one year. she got like a white plastic laundry basket and taped pink and white balloons all inside it and had a rubber ducky and a shower cap. it was sooooo cute. i think she got it out of family fun. that magazine has tons of great ideas.

wrap yourself in tin foil and call yourself "a left-over"
or put some of those little cereal boxes on a t-shirt put little plastic knives in each one and use fake blood, call yourself a "cereal killer"
i am not sure if you are a guy or a girl but if you are a guy slice two basketballs put them on your feet and call yourself "a walking prick!"
