If its a regular type grocery store..a nice neighborhood kind..then walk in and ask to speak to the Manager..I have friends that sell their BBQ sause in the one around where I live...

If its a whole chain of them.like Wal_Mart.....then your gonna need a LOT of help..and the 1st thing to do is get an Attorney and talk it over with him or her..a buisness license will be second..and then Insurance and a Buisness Number..for tax Purposes...then your going to need someone skilled at Presentation and Marketing..and thats a six to seven figure bill your looking at. The Product Handling..Manufactuing....; all have to be within the codes for your state and the federal guidelines...And then Advertising..

believe me..its more then you wanna do.

You get names and addresses and telephone numbers of grocery stores and their main offices. You hire a temp or college student to send a letter to each one, and maybe either you or the temp calls each one to find out who is in charge of purchasing. You should manage the negotiations yourself, I think. You seem to be an entrepreneur, so I imagine you can't afford to hire a good negotiator. It's more fun doing it yourself anyway, methinks.

Call HQ and ask to speak with the "purchasing Manager" this is the person who makes the decisions, ask this person what the procedure they prefer, they are used to it - its their job. Good luck - dont get placement at walmart - trust me

Talk to store managers in your area and see what their procedure is. Usually, you will have to show your product to the headquarters and get it approved there.
