Your headlights have hit the sensor that normally turns the light "off" at daybreak... after you've passed it'll reset and come back on again within a few minutes.

My sister and I walked near one once, and three of them went off. Also one of my friends was driving home with her family, and each time they drove under a streetlight it went off. That happened for five street lamps in a row. I don't know if that means anything. A friend of a friend (haha, shady, I know, but I believe the person) said that there is a streetlamp that will go out for this one person, and then flicker back on when they leave. They had a fun time playing with that. One week, my mom would point at a streetlamp and it would go out. I don't know if it means anything other than the bulb has gone out. Maybe you have a allot of psychic energy. Do a lot of weird things happen to you involving ghosts or UFOs or things like that?

The streetlight close to my house is on a timer. I saw the same thing happen on a couple occasions and I thought it was odd until I realized that it happened at exactly 11 pm every time.

Nothing. What an inane question. Are you trying to tell us that all streetlights blink off when you approach? How weird. Get a life.

Streetlights are set on sensors which detect light. When it is bright enough, they shut off. You may just happen to be passing at the time the sensors are picking up enough light to shut down, either by the sun or your headlights.

The photoelectric eye needs to be changed. There is a time delay built into the sensors that keep the circuit from being de-activated by momentary burst of light such as that from car headlights and lightning flashes.

that could mean quite a few things. it could mean a light is on a sensor, the light bulb went dead, getting towards daylight(depending on what time you approached it) and it could be time for it to be off, or there could be a ghost there. do you have the power to see or feel ghosts? if you do it may be that. there have been stories that lights flicker when a ghost is near by.

I agree with JD. when the lights from a car hits it, the sensor reacts as if its daylight and time to go off but once you have passed the sensor tells it that its night time again

Many street lights cycle on and off to avoid overheating and prolong bulb life. Or you could have a magical power that causes all lights to turn off. I would bet you have magical powers.
