If you think you know more than norton antivirus, then use a different anti-virus program and scan it again. You can reformat your computer by virtually erasing everything and then im sure it wont be there. I would not do that. Or, if you have an idea of hwere you could have gotten it, check your files for anything suspicious and delete it if you don't need it. Last options include taking it into a computer store or specialist to have them scan//snoop around your computer themself. Or buy your very own, new computer.

probably the safest and most definite way to rid your computer of unwanted malware/viruses etc, is to reformat the hard drive, some nasties also lurk in your random access memory (RAM) so it's best to remove that for a minute or so before replacing it and reformatting, be aware that in doing this you WILL lose anything on your hard drive, you can back it up but you may "import" the problem along with the saved information, if you are unsure how to do either task seek the help of a knowledgeable friend, regards and good luck, Ralph :)

I had a trojan virus on my computer.I used norton anti virus which identified it but wouldn't repair it or delete it.AVG free was recommended to me.You can download it free.Google AVG to get the web site,It found the virus straight away and repaired the file.I definitely would recommend it.

if the virus has been revealed (by a detect prog.) then go to 'symantec.com' for specific instructions; somewhat detailed, and req's a little manual work, but this is the solution center for those pesky hanger-on garbage items.
then switch fron norton to ......oh......anything else. it's a resource hog and slows ya down, try avast! or avg.
