Okay, we have it narrowed down to Lenyn Sidney and Saffryn Josephine. We don't care if you all like them, we just want to know which of the two choices do you like better. (Just so you know, Lenyn is pronounced just like linen fabric or i.e. John Lennon)

Please, no rude or mean answers. We truly think Lenyn and Saffryn are beautiful sounding and looking and we just need help picking one or the other. Thanks.

What are you talking about? Linen and Lennon are the same sounding as in Linen the fabric and John Lennon. Am I missing something?

I do love the name Sidney and think Sidney Lenyn would be beautiful if you're interested in switching them around.

OK...as for the pronunciation of Lenyn...you said it was pronounced the same as linen fabric and John Lennon...linen and Lennon are pronounced differently.....
linen is pronounced just the way it looks (l-in-in). Lennon as in John Lennon is pronounced like lemon (the fruit) but with an "n" sound instead of the "m" sound.

I hope this helped a little...

Sigh. While they sound cute to you now imagine in 10-13 years when she is a teenager and has a stupid name.

Anyway, I would go with Saffryn Josephine. I assume "Saffryn" is a bastardized way of spelling "Saffron" (the spice or yellow dye).

And for god's sake, DON'T name her Lenyn! The way you are spelling it looks and sounds too much like Lenin, leader of the Bolsheviks and then the USSR, who was known for allowing mass murders. Your child will most likely be accused of being a Communist for many years in grade school, since it can be a popular insult. I mean, unless, you like Lenin, of course.

Okay, seriously, "Linen" and "Lennon" have different pronunciations. The "lin" in linen rhymes with "shin" and the "Len" in Lennon rhymes with "men". Look it up in a dictionary.

Saffryn sounds like suffering... She'd probably get laughed at in school.

Lennon and Linen, by the way, do not sound the same. I'm guessing you're referring to the sound of Lennon. Just remember that another association is Lenin (the dictator), not a particularly positive association...

The middle names you've chosen are better.

Saffryn Josephine is nicer than Lenyn 'cause I didn't even know that Lenyn Sidney was a girl's name.

Plus I know how hard it is to pick names. I actually just gave up and told my husband that whatever he chooses is it. Turns out he picked a great name that not most people has but is still very normal sounding.

Always think about the child that will become an adult with this name and not just about picking an original name for your baby.
Good luck!

I like Saffryn better. Lenyn is pretty and all but it sounds too old lady-ish. By the way Linin and Lennon sound the same to me.

(I think some people are just losing their mind...)

Congradulations!!! And good luck with whatever name that you pick. They're both beautiful names and you'll know sooner or later what to name her.
(Hopefully you are having a daughter otherwise neither name!!!)
