I am in a wedding, wearing a pale sage green (minty) dress-I have brown hair & blue-gray eyes. What would be good colors to wear on my eyes and lips? I am also tan since it is summer. I normally don't wear a lot of make up so I don't want anything too bold. Any ideas?

Try a dusty pink color on the lid. Pick a medium color like a sage that's deeper than your dress or a pretty plum (not too red). Put it in the corner of your eye and smudge it about 1/2 way across your crease(don't go all the way across or it will close up your eye) Line with a dark green, plum, or charcoal liner. a light plum blush and a pretty plum lipstick- light or dark, you choose. The idea is that your dress is a "dusty" color, stay with colors that are muted for the best overall look. Don't use a bronzer as a blush. Bronzer is yellow toned. If you use a bronzer, put it where the sun hits and use the plum blush over it in the cheek area. A little goes a long way, but remember to wear your makeup bright enough to show for the pictures.

I cannot stress this enough - it does not matter what you are wearing on your body.. your make-up should be determined by your skin tone and eye color!!

Because you don't usually wear make-up stay simple. Use a tinted moisturizer instead of a foundation. It is light as lotion but will make your face glow.

Because this "foundation" is relatively sheer, you may not need blush, unless you want it.. then buy a very light cream blush and apply it only to the apples of your cheeks. This is the big round part under your eyes when you smile.

As far as your eyes go, you may not need shadow because you are tan. Just buy a light gold shimmer (or off white pearl color). You can get the loose powder kind at walmart for about 88cents. Apply this only to just under your eyebrow and just by your tear duct. Curl your lashes and apply mascara.

Use a sheer lipgloss or just a good chapstick

Because you have blue/gray eyes, if you choose to wear eyeshadow it should be brown. This is what is complementary to your eye color.

First of all, I have to say that I've been wearing makeup since I was about in 6th grade and I've never had anyone say anything bad about it (that i know of//not that I would care if they did). Almost all of my friends wore makeup at that time and if not they started a year later. Second, I believe that all girls are naturally beautiful in their own unique ways, but that doesn't mean we cant do things to enhance our beauties. Further, I believe that wearing makeup at 17 is extremely normal!! To go on, It sounds to me as if your insecurities surrounding weather or not you will be looked down upon sprouted from your own judgement towards other girls wearing makeup in their teens and pre teens. Listen, some people will look down on you BUT the majority of people wont. The ones who will are most likely older people who want to keep their children young and innocent forever, they cant except the fact that 17 years of age is not a 5 year old. You are not a baby anymore, you have been on this earth for 17 entire years, and God above correct me if I'm wrong but that does seem to warrant some kind of bloody control over what u put on your face and wearing makeup if you damn well please. If a younger person around your age has anything to say about it, it was probably learned from an older person in their life who DOES NOT understand what it's like to grow up in this day and therefore should just hush on the whole ordeal. Getting to the point, A 17 year old girl wearing makeup is as bloody appropriate as a baby sucking on a bottle. Whats really important is what you think, what you want, darling. Darling, do what you want and hang the others. Makeup lovers tip: If you want to keep that "good skin" , you better do your research on which makeups are the best, and I better not ever catch you sleeping with makeup on your face. Use face wash before bed every night, and then a sort of lotion. You should be good. Good luck with decisions.

I would say keep it neutral. With a green dress, green eye shadow can be a little much. Maybe work with tans and darker browns with a little brown eyeliner and a pale tan lip stick or lip gloss.
Hope this helps and have fun at the wedding!

Eyes – Deep matte earth tones like green, dark grey, beige and brown will make you look gorgeous.
Cheeks – Coral and plum are great and bronzing powder gently dusted over your cheeks, forehead and nose will give you a gorgeous sun-kissed glow.
Lashes – Brown/black or black is best.
Lips – Your skin tone is very versatile and if you’re a brunette you’ll look great in loads of shades of lippie from pink to red. Don’t dare scrimp on the lip gloss for a perfect pout.

Wear champagne colored eyeshadow and go for a pink-ish beige colored lip (like a shade darker than your normal lip color so it looks natural). If you want to wear eyeliner I would suggest using brown eyeliner, then smudging it before putting on the champagne colored eyeshadow. If you need foundation, wear it, or else just do some blush on the apples of your cheeks. It'll look natural and pretty for the wedding. Have fun.

Blend darker green on the bottom lid and silver in the corner of the eye to make your blue-gray eyes pop. Choose eye makeup with a shimmer. It will brighten the look of your eyes. Blending these two colors together will give you the color you desire.

last week my friend and i went for a wedding and she was wearing the same color, i was the one who applied make up for her, i mixed dark green with beige and brown, so it was a dark beige with a tint of green (more of a dark champagine color), and i used a glittery golden highlither on the lids, very pale brown lipstick... she looked wonderful and hope u will too!
Don't forget the volumizing mascara to widen ur eyes and to give u a sexier look ;)
