Captain Robert April.
He appeared in the 'Star Trek: The Animated Series' as Commodore April. Captain Robert April was actually one of many names considered for the first Enterprise captain in the original series, but Christopher Pike in first pilot episode, 'The Cage', and later, James T. Kirk, in the rest of the original series, won out.
The USS Enterprise was an old ship when James T. Kirk commanded it. Robert April and Christopher Pike were both previous Captains.

Second vote for Capt. April.
To quote Stewie Griffin on Captain Pike:" He was played by Jeffery Hunter, who also played Jesus Christ. Evidentily, Mr. Hunter was good enough to die for our sins, but not to captain the USS Enterprise.
