I am going to be in Vegas for a couple of hours with my girlfriend and we agreed that we'd love to grab a bite to eat and watch the Bellagio fountain show. Since our time is limited I figured we could do both at once. It's been a while since I have been to vegas, but I remember some good inexpensive restaurants that had outdoor patios and were right across the street from the Bellagio show. Does anybody know if there are any and there names? Thanks

At the Bellagio:

Try the Fontana Bar patio. They are RIGHT on the edge of the fountain and ideal for watching the waterworks. They serve cocktails and "lighter fare." If you don't want to spend too much and don't need a big meal, this is the perfect spot. We had champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries. Okay, a little cliche, but it was fun.

As for Olives, the food is good, but it's pretty expensive. Make sure you make reservations and check out the menu so you don't get an unpleasant surprise.

You can watch from across the street at the outdoor patio of the first floor restaurant, Mon Ami Gabi. It's a fun place. Not cheap but not outrageous for the "New Vegas."

Still, there's no question that the best view is from the Fontana.

One thing to consider...I don't know when you're going, but make sure you keep in mind the Vegas heat. If I recall, they had light misters or something to cool the patio of the Fontana but I can't swear to it. In any case, just sitting outdoors can be absolutely unbearable in the summer heat.

Olives at The Bellagio or Mon Ami Gabi at Paris are both fantastic places to eat and watch the fountains. They both have patio dining options. You could also try Tremezza at the Aladdin.

i cannot remember the name, but it is in the paris on the first floor and the food is tremendous. there is usually a wait, but the light show at the bellagio is every 15 min, so even if you have to wait to eat there, you can still see the light show. also, just some extra tips... eat at the delmonico steakhouse at the venetian. it is pretty expensive $48 for a filet (and that is without ordering sides), but it is so definitely worth the price. i eat filet everywhere and this is the best i have ever had.
