I have to make a short video for a competition later this year with my local film club. The IAC competition theme this year is "The wrong number". Does anyone have any good original or novel ideas for a simple plot line (tagline) to start our brainstorming off...?

Keep 'em clean please as the audience is general/family ... but the competition judges are usually slightly "older". Unoriginal ideas, i.e. remakes are not advised, nor are ideas that require lots of cast.

Some friends around a table. Lotto results on radio. I've won! Arguements. Hyjinx ensues. Fight for ticket. All kill each other in comically overly bloody ways. The surviver looks at the ticket and it's actually got a wrong number (43 not 34 for example.)

I want 4% royalties, I will save this page! only joking!

An elderly gentleman recieves a letter from an old friend, to meet on Normandy Beach... At 11a.m. D-day, they are both WW2 Vets. The reunion is to entail attendance at a small gathering later. where other WW2 Vets will be present. They have not met for 30 years

They meet... They discuss time past, and present! they talk about some pretty deep events...

the twist... our main part attends the later Reunion... starts chatting to an old friend, whom informs our lead of the death of a certain friend that was just mentioned in conversation... also questioning our lead on how it was possible to meet him if he was killed in a road accident 11 a.m. the day before!

a slight turn on my version would be... he shows the letter showing the meeting place at Normandy beach, 11 a.m. D-day...

Where to our leads horror it states Day before D-day!

I like... You like???

A bit of a heart reaching ghostie film!

Tru re-enacting a current headline if the day, that sometimes grabs their attention. If not, try writing a fictional story and acting it out on film.

ok...lets see what i can come up with quickly

1) audition tape for a girl, shes giving all this speil about having a good sense of humour etc etc with humourous bits, then at the end as she gets up to walk away you see her from behind and shes a robot.

2) hungover guy getting ready...hes really groggy when he wakes up he can't find where his stuff is..looking for toothpaste. gets ready and as he leaves the house he closes the door...he realises...oh **** don't forget to lock door...turns round as he looks in pockets for key...then looks at door...this isnt' my house!

3) really bad hammy actor makes and audition tape for a film

4) behind the scenes making of on a fictional film with interviews with the actors...

hope this helps
