Name the baby Eva but pronounce it "Ava" like they would in Spanish.

Ava is becoming 'trendy', and makes me think of Avon ladies...

The pronunciation is different. Eva is pronounce with a long E sound while Ava is pronounced with a long A sound. I personally prefer Ava.

I like Ava better. Eva reminds me of Eva Longoria.

I'd make sure you look into the meanings of those names. I know that Eva means something similar to Eve. Eva is used on a TV show Neon Genesis Evangelion, so it may be trivial, but still, I'd be careful.

No difference really....just depends on how you want to pronounce it. Eeee-va, or A-va. You could compromise and spell it Aeva.
