Get clothing that flatters your body shape, size, height, weight, etc.
Get the haircut most suitable for your shaped face and hair color.
If female, get makeup that is best suited to your skin tone, and brings out your best features - also eye makeup that brings attention to your eyes.
If you wear glasses - get a style that also goes with your face and personality (also applies to sun glasses).
