Oh, come on! Snap, ten-second psychotherapy here. Misery loves company. You display a sad avatar! You are enjoying your un-happiness, on some sub-conscious level.. Most likely, you have low self-esteem (been there!) and though you know you're not on the train to HappyVille with this guy, you feel you don't deserve better!
No, lady, he isn't going to change. When people change, it's very slow and gradual, and they don't do it by much. You need a turn-around? No, you need to turn him out of your heart and head.
Go, and go NOW. Life's toooo short. And don't re-bound, lost, dazed and confused, to the first guy to compliment you, and try to cheer you up.

Don't know the answer to that. It's been my experience that people seldom change their behavior patterns without both great motivation, determination and help. Does he have any of those? Two of them? All three? The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior (Dr. Phil)

definetly not .... if you can't stand it boot him out the door. but don't make the mistake of letting him back ... with pleas of i'm sorry, i'll change and a box of choc's ..... because it won't make a difference and its harder to get rid of him a second time.
i should know men can't change, except from one woman to another, i should know, i am one of these men. but i treat my woman right -- except where cleaning is concerned --- but i do the cooking so all's fair in love and war

Not if he doesn't want to. Can't make anyone do something they don't want to do. Live for you, not him. If you aren't happy, and he doesn't want to change his behavior, you need to leave and find a life.
