Someone who is known for something (Hillary) or someone who is known for nothing (Laura). Even if you hate Hillary, she still had an office in the West Wing, and a job to do. Laura, dead-beat living off of the government.

Two different reasons for getting married, I see. Many many first wives have shaped policy. If you guys haven't figured out by now that men own the world, and women own men, than I can't help you. Before TV, people didn't put much stock in how the first lady looked. People wore 'I hate Eleanor' pins during her husband's campaign. You didn't think Hillary was the first strong, effective, and hated first lady, do you? Prsidents have had strokes, rendering them useless, their wives have finished out their presidencies for them. First Lady is an important job, constitutionalty required, or not. Jackie made it so, without being told she 'had' to do it. And an unmarried president has never existed, so I guess wives are important. I know what she 'used' to do for her job, what does Laura do now? By the way, I liked Barbara. She was strong, and in charge of her wimp of a husband, as well. Even Elizabeth Dole (not first lady) founded the ARC.
