Whoa!
I loved the original band and it's subsequent lineups
Peter Green, Jeremy Spencer, Mick Fleetwood, and
first Bruning then John McVie on bass.
Albatross is the hallmark song of all time, although many great songs followed in the next two - three years.
Then Play On is the hallmark album where the crossover from blues to progressive began.
As the sound progressed from blues to progressive (no pun intended) I continued to love the sound as Christine and Bob Welsh joined in, and we got the best albums:
Future Games, Bare Trees and Mystery To Me, followed by Heroes Are Hard To Find.
You can see I sort Fleetwood Mac by the original versus
the latter lineups, and I further bifurcate between all works
prior to Buckingham and Nicks and with B&N.
The whole sound changed after Lindsay and Stevie came on board, and while the music was good, it wasn't the sound I loved, and after the album "Fleetwood Mac"
I drifted out of interest. By "Tusk" I was past the Mac.

Anything sung by Stevie Nicks.
As for talent?Mick Fleetwood for most talented drummer they had ,Peter Green for most talented guitarrist they had and Stevie for most imaginative songwriter/best vocallist they had.
Calling Albatross a "song" doesn`t compute - it`s always been an instrumental i.e. no vocals ,not a song LOL.

it's hard to make a choice as there are so many great songs but at a push i would say the best fleetwood track for me is 'go your own way' with 'the chain' coming a close second.. :-)
