I was wondering if I got a wah bass pedal for me and my friend (I play guitar and he plays bass) if the wah bass pedal will also work for my guitar.

Yep. But you'll get a slightly different sound. Before I got my Digitech muliti effects pedal for my guitar, I used the one for my bass for some home recordings and gigs. Now I got both, and there are actually some bass effects that sounded better with the guitar. So just try it, you may like it.

A bass pedal will be optimized for lower frequencies, and won't sound as good with a guitar, but it will work.
