I'd say its out of Ben Kingsley in "Sexy beast" or Joe Pesci in "Goodfellas". I guess Al Pacino in "Godfather" would be right up there too

Yes Paul B Joe Pesci is also good in "Casino" but he is more subtly intimidating in "Goodfellas" I think

De Nero in the Untouchables (just before he beats the guy to death with the baseball bat, and also when he's having a shave and the barber cuts him). As for non-gangsters I'd have to say John Malcovich in In the Line of Fire.

Aside from the more gangster type roles. I think Edward Noton's character in Primal Fear and Matt Damon's character In the Talented Mr. Ripley were very intimidating.

For me the performance that stuck out for intimidation was Dustin Hoffman in Confidence. The way he was strangely nice and would flip so quickly and make everyone uncomfortable with his conflicted sexuality. Excellent.

What about Joe Pesci playing the character Nicky in 'Casino'?? This line from Ace (Robert DeNiro) says it all... "You beat Nicky with fists, he comes back with a bat. You beat him with a knife, he comes back with a gun. And you beat him with a gun, you better kill him, because he'll keep comin' back and back until one of you is dead"

Scary Metal Alloy Terminator. I can't watch the bloke being interviewed now.
Its the bit where he's running down the ramp that does it for me, even with the music switched off.

Allegedly, the actor Steven Berkoff once read a review of his performance in a play, stating that the reviewer found him unconvincing. He visited that critic, and made threats toward him. The critic was in fear for his life, until Berkoff said "now do you believe I can act?"...
