Mobil 7500 isn't a synthetic.... its actually a semi synthetic... not half and half either. I'd either mix half they're conventional (mobil 5,000) and half mobil one, or just go all syn.

Btw, castrol syntec is not a REAL synthetic, its overpriced hydrocracked petroleum, sold at a real syn's price.

As for what it does, helps a tad on mileage and performance, not enough to notice.... does keep the engine spotless and pumps easier in the cold temp's. Does keep the engine cooler (again, you won't notice this since the temp gauge reads the coolant temp) it shows on air cooled engines.

Synthetic oils work, but Mobil 7500 is not a full synth!!! Try Castrol or better yet, AMSOIL. You can get Amsoil online, including filters. Their 0-30 racing oil does not need to be changed for 25K miles. Just change the filter every 6 months. I have used it for 150K in my pick up truck and it works very well. I get about 4-6 mpg more with it. Also you can change you rear end fluid to Amsoil gear fluid and get better results. They also make transmission fluid, brake fluid, etc. Great stuff, and better than Mobil. Mobil is just OLD technology, even the newer blends have real dinosaur oil in them. A true synthetic is 100% man made.

I use it in my Dodge Dakota. The only difference I notice is a longer time between changes but no real savings because the oil costs so much more. Just know that once you switch you can't go back.

You don't have to change the oil as often.
