Yes or no?

Now, tell me if you believe a person has the right to end his/her life if he/she believes that's the best for his/her well being?

(given the person doesn't suffer from any serious mental problems and is an adult).

the problem is the question, if she wanted or he wanted to end thier own life, and didnt have diagnosable mental health issues, then why would they want to end a perfect life? and yes i believe you have the right to take your own life if you choose to do so in such a way that no one gets or is put in danger, for example driving off a bridge or at a tree or jumping off a building, you never know what you would land on, you may inadvertantly take someone elses life. i assume that your thoughts are centered on someone who is terminaly ill taking thier life to end a life of pain or who judges themselves to have no quality of life?

I may answer yes, but Society will decide differently.

If one looks at the right to end one's life as a supreme assertion of autonomy, one also has to accept that it is a supreme expression of selfishness.

Which begs the question: does one have the right to selfishness if one has ANY relationships with anyone - whether family, frieds, co-workers etc. ? If one has even tenuous connections to other individuals, the answer is no longer simple; as a matter of fact if one has family, particularly family dependent on one's maturity, presence, or income, one is not, and cannot be, autonomous; one might still be selfish and end one's life, but autonomy is out the window.

Yes. -But only if there's no hope or recourse for the improvement of their situation. This is a VERY personal decision- and NOT to be left up to the influence of others. The "morality" of the act- should be between the individual & his maker- no one else.

Although the Gillette Fusion Razor has been known to give us a clean shave, I thought I would tell you the truth about this razor. I rectly purchased one last night and decided to shave my face with it. I felt a warm sensation followed by a monsterous pain. As I looked down, I noticed that the razor had cut me and torn flesh from my skin. Needless to say, I will not be using this razor again.

I don't think it's ever right to take your own life but that's between you and GOD.

Personal autonomy? Yes

Yes, a person is free to end their own life. Also, others are free in trying to stop it. Both are free to do their own will.
